Beauty
it boggles the mind
and warms the soul
but unfortunately
rarely is it seen

it is a gateway
a portal to another world
but beauty is an endangered species
what was there has been taken
destroyed, perverted, lost, broken


I hope to see beauty
to hold it in my hand
but my hope is fading
fearing there's too little left
